Under clear autumn skies and a breathtaking starry night, around 100 guests gathered yesterday to celebrate the official ground-breaking ceremony for the Tourmaline and Lazulite apartment buildings, marking a significant milestone for the visionary Lauchernalp Swiss Resorts project. The event celebrated local culture with performances by alphorn players, a yodelling club and the lively Tschäggettä, a traditional Lötschental carnival character.

The ceremony reached its spiritual climax with the blessing of the site by priest Thomas Josef Pfammatter, followed by a breathtaking light show that emphasised the scope and significance of the project. This laid the foundation stone for the CHF 250 million tourism project on the Lauchernalp. The Lauchernalp Swiss Resort, a sustainable alpine retreat that is experiencing record demand with a 40% increase in visitors to the magical valley.

Swiss Councillor of States Beat Rieder and Matthias Fleischmann, CEO of the Lauchernalp cableways, spoke about the significance of this development for the region. Dean Harley and Toni Enderli, co-founders of Legacy Investments AG, explained the ambitious vision of the resort and emphasised the positive impact on the local community.
